CHALLENGE RESULTS
The results are in and our five contenders displayed an amazing effort toward energy saving during the four week royal rumble. Congratulations to each hospital for an outstanding reduction in energy use and a special congratulations to our winning hospital Clinton Public Hospital for finishing at a remarkable 14% overall. Take a look at our combined results for this challenge below.
In just one month, these five hospitals made the combined impact of…
72,394 kilowatt hours, enough electricity to power 90 average size homes
8,108 kilograms of carbon dioxide avoidance, the equivalent of planting over 650 trees
The June 2011 challenge results above were compared to a multi-year
average baseline. When compared to June 2010 and factoring weather out, the savings are
even greater. Compare to the electricity cost of 2010, the
hospitals made a combined savings of $22,000.00.
