Alexandra Marine and General Hospital

The Alexandra Marine and General Hospital provides health care services in Huron County to the community of Goderich and several surrounding municipalities representing a catchment area of approximately of 25,000 people. The Hospital is an active treatment facility operated under the direction of a twelve member Board of Directors and currently operates fifty-four (54) beds providing acute, long-term, psychiatric, emergency and ambulatory care. Currently AMGH is in the process of the installation of a CT scanner which will be the only scanner in Huron County. This will be operational by mid April 2010. 

The hospital has worked diligently to earn a reputation for taking a thoughtful, proactive, and cost-conscious approach to the planning and management of its services.  With a clear focus upon the health care needs of the community it serves, the AMGH Board of Directors, the physicians and the hospital staff aim to provide high quality and cost-effective care.  As an accredited community hospital, AMGH has achieved recognition on a provincial and national level for excellence in several areas of service provision.
