About Seaforth Community Hospital

Seaforth Community Hospital

The Seaforth Community Hospital sits at the hub of medical services in Seaforth and the Township of Huron East.  This 54,000 sq. ft. facility has 18 beds and also receives patients through the Emergency Department and from the on-site helicopter pad.  Immediately adjacent the hospital, there are buildings occupied by several of the HPHA community mental health teams, area doctors, CCAC, and the local Family Health Team.  The Gateway Rural Health Research Centre also occupies space in the Huron East Health Centre.  The Hospital offers specialist clinics including OB/GYN, allergy, pediatrics, surgery and endoscopy.

The Seaforth Community Hospital belongs to the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.  The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance was formed in 2003 when the Clinton Public Hospital, St. Mary Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Public Hospital and the Stratford General Hospital came together to provide collaborative and cooperative healthcare in Huron and Perth Counties.  Local Advisory Committees offer guidance for each campus while one Board of Directors consisting of representatives in each catchment area govern the corporation.  Medical students and residents and students of related fields are actively engaged in helping HPHA’s quality healthcare services.
